FOG Design + Art opens tomorrow in San Francisco. Of the 48 galleries participating, there are several first-timers, including Tina Kim Gallery.
Whitewaller caught up with Kim just before the fair to learn what she’s planning on presenting this week, and what else is on her radar in San Francisco at the moment.
WHITEWALLER: How does FOG’s presentation of both art and design play into your consideration of what works and artists you’ll present?
TINA KIM: FOG provides a unique platform where we may present an array of work in a variety of mediums. We will show a special presentation of contemporary Korean ceramic artist, Kang Minsoo, who investigates and insists on keeping a traditional technique. His unique and dedicated approach will be shown together with historic Post-war paintings to explore the complex dialogue between design and art and achieving the beauty of imperfection.
